Macro World
The unseen universe beneath the canopy
Overview
Macro World is a small-group macro photography workshop in Costa Rica's Osa Peninsula, built around the smaller, stranger, and often overlooked life beneath the rainforest canopy. Frogs, insects, spiders, reptiles, textures, patterns, and behavior all become part of a more intimate way to photograph the Osa.
This workshop is designed for photographers who want to slow down and work carefully. We focus on the field skills that matter in tropical macro photography: finding subjects, approaching them ethically, controlling light, managing depth of field, building stronger compositions, and working patiently in humid rainforest conditions.
From poison dart frogs and orchid bees to leaf litter, night walks, and the fine details of rainforest life, Macro World is about learning to see the rainforest differently — one subject, one frame, and one small world at a time.
