Wildlife & Whales
From jungle canopy to breaching humpbacks
Overview
Wildlife & Whales brings together two sides of Costa Rica's Osa Peninsula: rainforest wildlife and the marine life of the Pacific coast. This small-group photography workshop is built for photographers who want variety in the field — from scarlet macaws, monkeys, and rainforest detail to seasonal encounters with humpback whales and dolphins offshore.
Each day is shaped around conditions, timing, and local knowledge. We may work rainforest edges in soft morning light, explore coastal and marine environments, or head onto the water when whale-season opportunities are strongest.
The goal is to build a broader visual story of the Osa — not just one species or one habitat, but the connection between jungle, coastline, and ocean in one of Costa Rica's most remarkable wildlife regions.
